I'm Shifting !

Am shifting.. Its like moving into a house I have been dreaming for years.. Yes; but it isn't actually a home shifting that am talking about, but a shift from blogosphere. 6 blogs were gettign a bit too handful to maintain and to read (as reported by trusted sources). So, here is the solution. am moving all my blogs under a single roof; where as desired before by me, you could choose which section you'd want to read or not ( From the Menu) and if you aren't particular, I'd be really happy if you go through all. Its just created today. So, the site-warming (if there exists a term like that) is today.. Like when we move home, we still expect our friends to visit us and be friends.. All my friends here are requested to come and be a part of my new site Banter Battery.

P.S : A big big bear hug to Raghu ji for making this suppressed dream a reality. I was so very excited and moved by the kind of initiative and trouble he went through for this, I don't even remember saying as much as a thank you to him. Maybe am not that good at mouthing my emotions verbally. But really, from the bottom of my heart; Thanks a ton!!!

My First Love

Manu, my nephew on his first day in the world.(now he is 3 years old)

But everytime I see this pic, it touches me beyond any other, cos when the bundle of joy was born, the nurse walked in and I was the first one to hold in my arms.a small bundle with an almost red sleeping face, but the way it filled my heart; I can never put in words. Loved him ever since that day: June 16th 2006.

On his 3rd day, he is all thoughts.. my wonder boy..

Manu with his mom( my sister, who has been herself a lot of things for me, though much elder to me, she is the closest to me). Manu loves crackers; though his mom still is scared of them.

He started going to a Montessori School since June 2009 ; and that makes everyday exciting for my parents(his grandparents) and me. I literally spend a large chunk on my phone calls to this little angel (the cutest devil when he wants to be) just to hear him talking on and on in 4 different languages and his rhymes & songs.

Looks all serious, but he is as naughty as I want him to be, but never out of hands. He is growing up at a pace, I find dazzling. This little love of mine loves music, cars, his laptop(gifted on his demand when he started school - who else can I spoil? ) and mobiles. He has grown out of toy mobiles and is trying every perceivable way to get his Mom or Dad or me to get him a real one (he says he needs it to call us immediately if someone bullies him at school - dear smart ass.)

So this is Sheenu! mmm.... she is ofcourse cuter. some great person said, life's best things usually come in small packages( i ofcourse am a difference; for a change the best came in a huge package), and Sheenu proves it true.

Our (Me and Maria's) new home-mate. quite a normal girl, which makes her quite abnormal in the house. When she had first stepped into our house, it was by all means a mess. She cleaned her room, and the drawing room...it ultimately inspired myself and Maria to make our rooms clean & tidy. our house has really become a home now. we have our rooms,kitchen,everything clean and above all that we have a dream come true.. of a pooja-room in our abode. its wonderful to see Jesus Christ smiling peacefully along with Krishnan,Ganapathy,Devi et al.. its amazing how a silent burning lamp can instill so much of peace and calm.

back to Sheenu. Now our usual dose of evening chit chat which starts around 9 after dinner and can strech upto any given time is usually complimented by SHHH...shhhh...Shhh...sHHH.... by our Sheenu ...

Food. She eats to live. (unlike us- Food is very important for me and maria- and it can be seen too ). Maria has company when it comes to salt( another salty organism to play havoc on the salt - control system i was trying to bring about in the house). When it comes to quantity and speed ; Sheenu is far behind.

Sheenu is however smart enough to know that neither Meenakshi nor Maria will tolerate too much of anything and she brilliantly keeps it easy for us. Sheenu is a much needed change, a cleanliness freak, a homely sweet girl.

3 different individuals - with entirely different attitudes, lifestyles, thought-processes, choices, interests, habits, temperaments... bound by no relation yet bound under the same roof; bound by honesty ( to oneself and to the others), bound by those hours of cooking together, bound by those hours of careless nattering; bound by those hours when we sing, dance and laugh, bound by those hours of opening unto each other, bound by those hours of shedding tears over trifle nothingnesses in life......

just hoping and praying that the binding grows only closer....

PS: I hope I have taken no risk, like the one when i wrote the post on "Maria". anyways Sheenu , i place my trust on you; However i will surely make it a point to accompany you during the entire cooking( atleast for the coming few days) {just in case, the idea of poisoning me,occurs to you OR is brought to your mind by my dear Maria}.

What is that entices a woman towards an already possessed man?He might be your best friend’s man or your childhood male buddy whom you never found so desirable before! Or your married professor, or just a newly married neighbor!

You know some guy, over a period you become good friends, chat for long nights, and become close. You share all these conversations in minutest detail with your friends; to an extent you express your strong liking of him. You describe as if you just found your dream man, the one who shares the same passion like you, who is confident, and smart and an expert in his work, above all he is much elder to you! As they say old men are wiser and hence more desirable ;)

So, you go on and on, about this new person you have met, and you describe him as if he is the most sought after guy!You describe your rosy world to your best friends. And they are enchanted, they feel glad and happy for you, they too express their desire to meet him, to judge if he is good enough for you. You are happy that they are taking a keen interest in your love life, so you gladly oblige. You nudge your man to fix up a date! You are not the least bit insecure of your good looking friends. You trust your man completely.

So here you walk in with your guy.All your friends greet him with their sweet smile! Suddenly you see a different side of your friend’s, they are looking more feminine today, and extra sweet! They start leashing out their most destructive weapon, their smile! They pull your leg, pass smart comments, and they try to test your guy! A guy already taken is the biggest temptation! So do women species unknowingly judge their sexiness by trying to allure him! It’s a tough competition now, because he is already faithful to someone else, so you need that extra ounce of something (I can’t describe in words) in you so that he may take notice of you! And if he gives in, it’s the women’s victory! It’s not that she desires him, it’s just a simple way of self-confirmation to know if she can still play her cards well! It’s a harmless way of judging herself.It irritates you to no end to hear him say that he liked your friend with that long lustrous hair, or the one who wore a plunging neck line or the one who wore a dark red lipstick or the one with a very sweet smile! You feel like smacking him, for not noticing your new hair cut and the new black dress you wore to impress him! You burn with anger when you come across his scraps in your best friend’s book! You keep track of all the crap…oops! I mean scraps! You flatly refuse when he suggests that the whole gang should go out for Dhoom2! You insist him on holding your hand when you walk together, to gently kiss you when your friends are around, to dance just with you! And you laugh louder, dress more seductively just for him! You keep trying hard to get back his attention on you!Is it inborn in a woman to lure their men by their beauty and to crush every other lioness who enters her territory?So is this a womans’s psychology!

Even the most successful woman aspires for the male attention, for that second glance as she walks by! Yes it does great good to her self-esteem! It makes her feel desired!But here I would like to conclude with my opinion:If your man can’t limit his wants which go beyond his gizmo stuffs and motorbikes…to put in simple words, if he makes a pass at your best friend, then spank him before you dump him, for its not your friends fault…but his for being so greedy and unfaithful! If he is completely loyal to you, then hurray you are one of the luckiest ones on planet earth![I don’t know whether I am mature enough to write this piece. These are the small things that I happened to notice around me, so I thought I might as well write something about it.]

This is a post I had to put up here, in full dedication to my home-mate.

Maria..

so this is the great maria i live with..not exactly the great creature on the photo...but a similar looking girl... ( ;P )

This is the highest risk post i have ever posted in my entire blogger-life. Why??.. Because Maria has taken over most of the ccoking at home (giving me the menial sweeping & mopping,washing utensils...and ofcourse cooking also) and she is insanely capable of doing anything...when i say anything it is in no way an exaggeration .

living with her is an experience in itself.... She screams and howls at the theatre, laughs hysterically for hours on the silliest of jokes i have ever heard, dumps ketchup/water on friends in the bussiest of restaurants, drives at 120 kmph, fights and yells as if she will never ever forgive and churns out a kiss the very next moment, messages **** *** in the middle of the night from the next room(luckily), wakes me up from deep sleep so that i can make coffee for her while she gets ready to go to her office which starts one hour after my office starts...... i know i have censored and left out a lot....but am a human and am scared.

Maria, i have been bearing the curry you make with triple the dose of salt than i can bear (keep this in your mind before u decide to poison me).

Now i just couldn't stop myself from posting this. Maria is in love with her "i-pod" which she aquired recently on her highly celebrated 20th birthday. the i-pod is not her attachment,she has become the attachment of it...

Crazy dancing (in the kitchen,drawing room,bedroom), hysterical laughs and screams(while watching movies on it) is all i see nowadays...

This is a reminder that i will actually appreciate the wonderful electronic gadget you own, much more if you would (atleast at night) hug it ;listen to sweet music (Just listen-no dance,no chorus,nothing) and drift into slumber-land....

In short, I would love to retain my auditory capabilities, which i suspect is already taking a downhill journey.

Bottomline : Please have mercy on me :^( !!!!
